BBJ Readers Get 30% Off Vickery & Clarke Products on CVS.com

I have to confess: I'm beginning to loathe the word recessionista. In fact, I'm instituting a moratorium on it. My pal Dina at Eye4Style agrees and has even said on her blog that that word just makes her want to run out and buy $700 shoes. I concur, Dina. It's atroshe. For the moment, I find "depressionista" amusing. Of course, once the financial climate temp has actually slipped into a proper depression, I probably won't find the expression as cute.

But anyway, in the spirit of cheap thrills that deliver, I'd like to introduce you to CVS' new natural skin and body care brand, Vickery & Clarke. The collection was inspired by Alice Vickery and Isabella Clarke, two female pharmacists from the 1800s.

I love the brand's vintage design. It's sort of the budget-savvy gal's C.O. Bigelow or Kiehls. Better yet, Vickery & Clarke is Paraben, Sodium Lauryl/Laureth Sulfate, Phthalate, and Petrolatums free. It incorporates herb and flower extracts to deliver a 94% natural collection of masks, face and body cleansers, bath soaks, hand and body creams, lip treatments and more. Priced right (Nothing is over $15) and packaged well, this collection provides fabulous staples and guilt-free indulgences when you need a little luxury.

Vickery & Clarke has generously offered BBJ readers 30% off while shopping at CVS.com for Vickery & Clarke Natural Apothecary products March 16-22. Treat yourself naturally and visit CVS.com to see the entire Vickery & Clarke Natural Apothecary line. To redeem: enter BBJCVS when prompted for a coupon code at checkout. Applies only to Vickery & Clarke Natural Apothecary products purchased online at CVS.com. Discount not valid in store.

What do I recommend? Observe:

Vickery & Clarke Medicated Lip Treatment ($7) This creamy pout panacea contains emollients to improve lip condition immediately upon application. Lurve.

Vickery & Clarke Ginger & Clementine Body Wash ($9) I'm deeply into all things ginger lately, and this body wash incorporates the stimulating scent of citrus as well.
