L'Oreal Partners with Carelle to Create Exclusive Jeweled Compact

L’Oreal has partnered with jeweler Carelle to create these gorgeous gem encrusted compacts they'll be gifting to Best Actress in a Comedy or Drama nominees. The list of nominees includes Anne Hathaway, Angelina Jolie, Kate Winslet, Meryl Streep and Emma Thompson. Also, one of these compacts will be put up for auction on eBay Giving Works. All proceeds will be donated to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund.

Jenna Fischer's Boho Look at The Golden Globes

Make up artist Brett Freedman played up The Office's Jenna Fischer's eyes with liner and a little “out of the box glam” for the usual subtle Jenna. It's very "new post-New York Pam," isn't it? Her dress is one of my faves, though I usually don't favor a pattern.

Brett used the following products:
Foundation: LORAC Oil Free Powder Foundation in #02 (light)
Loose Powder: * magic by Prescriptives in Deep Translucent. It has a gorgeous light reflective quality with a hint of bronze and photographs beautifully.
Concealer: Cle De Peau Concealer in Beige.
Blush: Almay Smart Shade Blush in Natural, topped with LORAC Oil Free Illuminating Powder in Luminous on apples of the cheeks.
Eyeshadow: RIMMEL Colour Rush Mono Eyeshadow in #330 Azure, applied wet and swept over lids and blended down to a sheer finish.
Liquid Liner: LANCOME Laque Liner in Pure Black. Applied a line across the top lash line, thickening and extending out and upward for a dramatic look.
Brow Highlight Shadow: LOREAL HiP pigment powder in Restless. Brett loves to have a bright, crisp browbone. This champagne hued shadow looks natural yet packs a punch.
Mascara: VANITYMARK 'the LASH' in Blackest. Three coats were applied to really amp up the top lashline. One full coat on the bottom to give eyes definition without overpowering the top lash line.
Faux Lashes: Kre-At Beauty individual lashes. A mix of the short (on the inner eye) and the long (for outer) in black were used to give an alluring sweep.
Body Bronzer: VANITYMARK Summerskin, applied first to 'tone down' the tawny shade so Jenna would have a healthy glow without being too tan.
Lips: BENEFIT Pocket Pal in Benetint.

Miley Cyrus and Ginnifer Goodwin Rock Mark at the Golden Globes

Makeup artist Mai Quynh used mark products to create the looks Miley Cyrus and Ginnifer Goodwin rocked at last night.

Miley Cyrus

Eyes: "The inspiration for Miley’s look was young and flirty bohemian. I wanted to keep her makeup soft and golden with a touch of bronze to compliment her white and bronze floral beaded dress. On her inner eyelids, I swept mark Shimmer Cubes in Moonlight and Twilight and mark I-Mark Custom Pick Eyeshadow in Tiki in the creases. I lined the bottom of her eyes with mark I-Mark Custom Pick Eyeshadow in Tiki and then coated her eyelashes with mark Make It Big Lash Plumping Mascara in Raven," said Mai.

Eyes:

"Since Ginnifer’s hair was pulled back into a chignon, my inspiration for her look was an old Prada ad. On her eyelids I swept on a blend of mark I-Mark Custom Pick Eye Shadows in Wink Wink and Corset from the lashline and blended it into the crease. I used the same shades to line the bottom of her eyes, and then coated her eyelashes with mark Make It Big Lash Plumping Mascara in Raven," said Mai.

Face:

Salma Hayek's Makeup at The Golden Globes

This just in from NARS...

“Salma’s makeup look was directly inspired by her dress,” said NARS Makeup Artist Matthew Vanleeuwen. “She chose a very neutral colored dress and wanted to make sure her makeup look would pop. I made her eyes the focus and added a lot of rich, jewel skin tones and fresh color to her cheeks and lips. Her look was very classic and chic, with some modern textures.”

Below is Matthew’s step-by-step to recreate Salma’s look:

Eyes:

· Apply the China Blue Single Eyeshadow into top and bottom lash line [Matthew’s tip: “I love using navy colors because they make the whites of the eyes pop.”]

· Next, use the Corfu Cream Eyeshadow as a base, all over eyelid

· Use the golden champagne side of the Alhambra Duo Eyeshadow on lid

· Then, use the Bengali Single Eyeshadow all along the lash line, rubbing it into the lash line, deepening the outer corner of the eye, creating shading

· Curl the eyelashes and put 2 coats of Black Orchid Mascara on lashes

· Go back over top lash line with the Night Clubbing Eyeshadow and use what is left on the brush under the eye to define it [Matthew’s tip:“This shade is perfect to create a smokey eye – it gives a rich sparkle at the lash line with undertones of green and gold.”]

Complexion:

· Use the Brightening Serum to make skin glow and apply the Makeup Primer

· Apply the Firming Foundation and set it with the Loose Powder

Lips:

· Use the Marnie Lipliner Pencil and Tutti Fruity Lipstick

· Next, mix the Boogie Nights and Greek Holiday Lipglosses and apply them over the lipstick

Blush:

· Apply the Desire Blush to the apple of cheeks [Matthew’s tip: “I use a powder brush to apply blush. I find that a bigger brush makes a much softer wash of color.”]

· Next, use the Laguna Bronzer with short, back and forth stokes from the back of cheekbone forward, to blend
