The Beauty Would You Rather Tag 2011

I saw this tag on VijiiS/Fierce Nerditude's blog. (Check out her blog!) I wasn't tagged, but it looked like a fun tag so I decided I'd do it!

Would you rather lose all of your mascaras, eye liners, lipsticks and lip glosses or lose all of your palettes and eye shadows?

This is a tough one! I'm going to say palettes & eye shadows because I love mascara, and I could always use light/colorful liners as eye shadow.

Would you rather chop off all your hair or never be able to cut it again?

Never be able to cut it again. At some point my hair would have to stop growing, right?

Would you rather have a coral cheek or a pink cheek?

Pink! Which is somehow my answer to everything..

If you had $1000 to spend, would you rather buy clothes or makeup?

In all honesty I have more makeup than I'll ever fully use, and I also have enough clothing, but can I say Betsey Johnson?

Would you rather apply lipstick as eyeliner or eyeliner as lipstick?

Eye liner as lipstick. The idea of putting lipstick on my eyelids bothers me.

Would you rather only shop at MAC or Sephora?

Definitely Sephora!

Would you rather use only one eye shadow color or one lip color the rest of your life?

Lip color. I love changing my eye makeup, and I easily get bored of wearing the same eye shadow.

Would you rather wear winter clothes in the summer or summer clothes in the winter?

Winter clothes in the summer.

Would you rather have dark nails or bright nails all year round?

Pink! I told you.. it's my answer to everything! I like pastel colors which wouldn't fall into either category.

Would you rather only be able to wear your hair in a pony tail or a messy bun?

Messy bun. I find pony tails bothersome because hair still gets on the back of your neck which is especially annoying in the warmer weather.

Would you rather never be able to paint your nails again or never use lip gloss?

Never use lip gloss. I don't like most lip glosses, but I do like the Balmshell glosses, and a few others.

Would you rather shave your eyebrows and have none at all? Or sharpie them in everyday?

Hello, Sharpie!

Would you rather live without makeup or nail polish?

Nail polish.

You're all officially tagged by me, I would love to see your answers!

Thanks Mia!

I recently won Mia's giveaway!

I won a 17 Lasting Fix Nail Polish in Pink Grapefruit, and an adorable Bassetts necklace!

She also sent me a lovely card, thanks Mia!

Envy, Electro, Distress, Techno, and Graphite

Some really gorgeous colors!
The folks at Wet N Wild were kind enough to send me these to review. They sent me every shade except for Pixie which is champage-y gold color. Thanks WNW!

These are very creamy, and have nice pigmentation except for Techno, and Graphite which are sheer. They are all shimmery.

Wearing these alone they did crease on me within about 20 minutes. The best way in my experience to wear them is to use a primer, a thin layer of these followed by a powder shadow on top. Using this method they didn't crease!

These would also make nice liners for a pop of color on the lower lashline, but I wouldn't recommend using them on your waterline because they will smudge.

Two slight complaints I have, one is that when I received them there was oil at the bottom of the caps on some of them. I'm not sure if this is normal or not, but it could just be because they melted in the envelope? After all it is summer!  My second complaint is that the bottom of the pencils (the silver part) does come off somewhat easily, but it's really no big deal. It doesn't affect the actual product.

Overall if you're looking for something to use as a light tint of color to layer your shadow on top of or to use as a pop of color then I do recommend, but if you're looking for something super long wearing & crease proof then I wouldn't recommend.

Zebra Inspired Eyeshadow

Products used
Urban Decay Loose Pigment in Yeyo
e.l.f Liquid Eyeliner in Midnight
Kiss Eyelash Glue in Clear
Kiss Eyelashes in the style KPL03

Apply primer if needed.

For the lid color I used Yeyo by Urban Decay, It's a sparkly white.
I then added the stripes with a dark navy shade which I thought was black until I read the shade name. I promise I'm not really color blind!
I added some falsies. I had to go back over the band of the lashes with liner because the "clear" glue is a LIE, lies I tell you!
I didn't curl the lashes because it ruins the shape of them. I also skipped mascara because my lashes blended in fairly well, and I didn't intend on wearing this out. Maybe next time I go to the zoo!

Thanks Dinorah, Jeanie, and Everyone Else!

I was recently lucky enough to win Dinorah's giveaway.

The prize was a MAC Lipstick of your choice, I chose Creme Cup.

Dinorah is such sweetie, she included two extras, and a lovely card!
Left to right
Haunting eyeshadow, Creme Cup lipstick, and Copper glitter

So far I've tried the lipstick & glitter, they're both awesome!

The card, so cute
I didn't take a photo of the inside because I wasn't sure if she would mind. Thank you very much Dinorah!

The lovely Jeanie was kind enough to send me some items from her collection that needed a new home!
She sent me tons of fantastic goodies. It was so generous of her! Thank you so much Jeanie.

So far I've tried the Everyday Minerals Concealer, it's too light for me, but I love it. By itself it doesn't completely cover my dark circles so I like to use it over my concealer, and it works great!

I've also tried the Stila Tinted Moisturizer which I'm loving as well!

I love the elf cuticle pen, it's so convenient to use.

Don't forget to follow these fabulous ladies!

Also a shout out to Bri! http://beautybloggerbri.blogspot.com/

I've also recently won Locke's giveaway, Mia's giveaway, and Adirenne's giveaway. I'll have a post with my prizes once I receive them.

Thanks gals!
& an additional thanks to everyone who has followed me. There's 508, 511 of you, how amazing!

This shampoo & conditioner combo was designed to help hair grow faster. The lady I was speaking to said it usually doubles the rate of hair growth!

If you're curious how they look
Top is the shampoo, and bottom is the conditioner

The shampoo is colorless except for a pearly undertone.

The scent is nice. I like it, but It obviously depends on personal preference. It doesn't specifically smell like anything,  just shampoo-y.

You may be wondering how do I use it? Like normal shampoo?

To be specific, here are the directions for both the shampoo & conditioner

For best results you're supposed to use it everyday for 3-4 weeks or until you reach your length goal. Shampoo, rinse, repeat, condition. I left the conditioner in anywhere between 1-3 minutes. If you have dry/damaged hair it's recommended to leave it in for longer.

I used this religiously everyday for 3 weeks, here are my results..
It's impossible to completely duplicate an image, but I tried to get them fairly close. I even wore the same shirt! (Best shirt ever? possibly) My hair is a little wavy at the bottom in the after shot because I had it up before taking the photo, sorry!

My hair has definitely grown, I'm no Rapunzel, (I wish!) however, I will continue to use it even if not for the hair growth effects. I like it as a shampoo/conditioner combo. The only con is that I did find it a somewhat drying, but then again I'm not used to washing my hair so much.

Overall, if you've had an unfortunate Donald Trump haircut or just want a good shampoo/conditioner I do recommend, but don't expect to become Rapunzel overnight!

Yes, I was sent these products for review by Nisim, thank you Nisim, and thanks to everyone reading this.
