Achieve a "Fresh" High Noon Glow
Fresh's High Noon Freshface Glow ($36) is the definitive does-it-all liquid bronzer for the "fairest of them all" crowd. It provides the light coverage of a tinted moisturizer and boasts good-for-your-skin ingredients like meadowfoam seed oil, pomegranate, cucumber extracts and an Advanced Vitamin Release Complex. I love its subtle warm golden bronze color pay-off, lightweight texture and soothing cucumber scent.But most of all? I love that every time I use this prod, I revisit that pivotal scene in Back to the Future III (my fave trilogy of all TIME) when Buford "Mad Dog" Tannen tells Marty McFly he does his "killing before breakfast" when the well-Western-versed Marty asks if they'll have their showdown at high noon.
I love what a child of the '80s Marty is. Who else would think it's approp to Moonwalk in the Old West?

Holiday Party Go-to Twinkle Items
Here's a list of all you need to glow this holiday season! Use all four and pity the fool (who'll surely be totes eclipsed) next to you at the party.
MODELCO Body Meringue Body Glow ($38) It sounds like a fantasy: a body whip that shimmers, bronzes, and tones all at the same time. Believe it, dolls. The mousse-like consistency is easier to apply than ModelCO Tan in a Can, and it yields a softer copper color that makes me look like I've spent a week in the Caribbean. It's a bronzer more than a self-tanner; it washes off in the shower. But it's great for an instant believable non-streaky glow thanks to its tinted formula so you can see where you've applied it. Frederic Fekkai SprayOn Hair Crystals ($19)
I LOVE THIS STUFF. It just exudes "limited edition" with its festive packaging. It also functions like a dream, layering a glossy veil of glittery flecks to the hair while the added Panthenol protects it. I have it in Champagne and Copper (my hair is a mixture of golden and dark/dirty blonde) and I do a little mixed cocktail of both for holiday parties. Available at Sephora.com.

Obviously, I am enamored with this luminizing primer because it is named Twilight. It's as good for skin as it is for your complexion as it's enriched with antioxidant-rich Vitamins A, C, and E. I love how it evens skintone and infuses it with light-reflecting gorgeness. Available at Sephora.com.
Cover Girl Exact Eyelights Eye-Brightening Mascara ($7)
Its tinted formula mixed with light-reflecting metallics lend a little lash "je ne sais quoi." I find it's a bit light on its own, but a tad brushed onto lash tips after applying a regular mascara gives my cils a shimmery holiday glow. Just be sure not to Cologne (of Stylista fame) out and apply too much, as it is your second coat. I have it in Black Sapphire (for blue eyes) and Black Ruby (for green eyes). Just as with the Fekkai SprayOn Hair Crystals, I need two colors because my eyes are a green-blue hybrid. And because fitting in one "color box" is boring, n'est-ce pas?

Freedom in Fragrance Form: Fresh's Mangosteen
Fresh and I are engaged in an abusive relationship.
It's just one of those brands that produces unbelievably phenom, yet unique beauty booty. AND their skincare, body products AND makeup are all equally impressive. The packaging is exceedingly clever, as are the product names. Case in point: their Imperial Bedroom Face Palette ($55). I find, however, their prices to be just beyond reasonable. For instance, in a frenzy of Sephoria (come on, you've experienced it too), I purchased this $22.50 lip balm only to have ridic buyer's remorse (only because of the price). But I keep coming back for more because this lip balm is SUBLIME. The brand is to beauty what Anthropologie is to fashion: "an overpriced little bitch," in the words of my friend Tamron.
The crown jewel of their suite of products? Their fragrances. I know. I KNOW. I rarely delve into the fragrance realm because I am indeed involved in a near-monogamous relationship with Burberry Classic. But lately, I've been succumbing to the allure of a side dish manufactured by Fresh:
Mangosteen Eau de Parfum ($75)
Fresh's fragrances absolutely slay me. This is my THIRD FFA (Fresh Fragrance Addiction). My other favorites are Lemon Sugar and Fig Apricot. I love that the name of this one seems to imply that the main notes of this scent are derived from some sort of Jewish fruit. I laugh out loud every time I see the bottle. It delights me to no end. I envision scenarios of the fruit's long daily phone calls with its mother, a general lack of athleticism, and innate pressure to become a doctor or a lawyer.
Anywho, mangosteen is a fragrant fruit native to Southeast Asia and is often referred to as the "Queen of all Fruit" because it contains a high concentration of antioxidants. Etymologically, it seems to be similar to the mango, although botanically, it bears no relation. This perfume focuses on the juiciest part of the mangosteen: the white pulp in the heart. Also blended in are Italian lemon, bergamot, citrus notes, sheer flowers, peach and soft woods.
Here's what I lurve: even when used in excess, it's still subtle. Spritzing away with reckless abandon will not leave you with overwhelming PERFUME as opposed to... perfume. I'd describe it as fruity but not saccharine, mild, bright, sparkling and lively.
